A Message From Stacey
My cancer journey and how I came to specialize in 3D nipples/areolas and paramedical scar camouflage:
Breast cancer runs in my family. My mother had it twice. I lost both my mother and sister to breast cancer within a year of each other. When I was diagnosed, the fear was overwhelming. I was extremely fortunate that my cancer was found during a routine mammogram and it was found very early. I ultimately needed a bilateral (both sides) mastectomy. I had the mastectomies and immediate DIEP flap reconstruction performed by several very skilled doctors, for whom I am profoundly grateful. I consider myself one lucky lady. I traveled to my plastic surgeon’s office in Fort Worth, Texas for my 3D nipples/areolas tattoos. They look amazing. They look realistic. They made me feel whole again. It was then that I decided that I felt called to help other women in my same position.
I spent an entire year attending a medical micropigmentation academy here in Oklahoma City to learn the basics of PMU tattooing. I then went to the premiere instructor in the 3D areola/paramedical tattoo industry, Sherah Juarez Canamar @ Ink Boutique based out of Houston, TX, for paramedical scar tattooing and 3D nipples/areolas. I am happy to say that I am a Certified Medical Micropigmentologist (CMM) in the state of Oklahoma and an Ink Boutique certified paramedical scar and 3D nipple/areola artist.
